Taxes and Incentives
Oklahoma Southeast will work with the State Department of Commerce to help your business obtain the most beneficial incentive package available. Industrial and commercial construction and land costs average 5 to 10% lower nationally, and up to 20% lower than the East or West Coasts. In addition to a low cost of doing business, Oklahoma is well known for its resourceful solutions to state and local financing needs. Pro-business incentives include a five-year property tax exemption; investment/new jobs tax credit, and manufacturing sales tax exemptions. Two-thirds of the state qualifies for accelerated property depreciation with federal tax credits available only in Oklahoma and Alaska. A 2004 study by Pollina Corporate Real Estate notes: “Oklahoma offers one of the most competitive and aggressive business incentive packages in the country, which allows it to take full advantage of its central United States location.”
