Simonton Windows plans to add two extra production lines at its factory here, part of a recent wave of industrial expansions in the eastern Oklahoma city.

The expansion will create 40 jobs when new window and glass lines start in April, Simonton spokeswoman Kathy Ziprik said. The factory currently produces 10 lines of windows and glass.

(Pauls Valley, OK) – The 2nd Annual Garvin County Job Fair will be held at the Bosa Center in Pauls Valley on Wednesday April 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Last year, twenty three major employers and over 390 job seekers attended the 1st Annual Job Fair and it was deemed a huge success. Sponsors of these annual events, the Southern Workforce Board, Workforce Oklahoma, City of Pauls Valley, Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce, Big Five Community Services, Pauls Valley Industrial Authority, Wal-Mart Retail Store and Distribution Center are hoping for an even bigger turn out this year.

Job seekers attending this event will be able to apply on-site for jobs with major area employers in health care, manufacturing, distribution, food service, corrections, and finance to name a few. A “Job Readiness Workshop” will be held at the Pauls Valley Chamber of Commerce on March 22nd to help job seekers prepare for employment. All employers located within the Garvin County area are invited to participate in the job fair at no charge.
